How it Works
Clients are responsible for the full session fee at the time of each appointment.
Most insurance plans include an out-of-network deductible. This is the amount you pay out of pocket before your insurance begins reimbursing you for sessions.
If you’ve worked with other out-of-network providers this year, you may have already made progress toward meeting your deductible.
Once your deductible is met, your insurance will reimburse you directly for a portion of each appointment. The exact amount depends on the details of your specific plan.
Many clients are reimbursed 50–80% of the session fee, with an average out-of-pocket cost of around $70 per session after reimbursement.
We have partnered with Mentaya to help you use your out of network benefits to help pay for therapy!

Good Faith Estimate Notice
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
Cancellation Policy
Scheduling an appointment involves reserving dedicated time exclusively for your session. If you are unable to attend, I kindly request a minimum of 24 hours notice for rescheduling or canceling an appointment. I recognize that unforeseen circumstances may arise, making attendance challenging. If you cannot attend a Walk & Talk session you can inquire about the option to meet virtually instead. If a session is canceled with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a full session fee. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
